Academic Programmes:

The Centre has been conducting pioneering activities in the field in terms of Litracy for illitrates, Continuing Education for neo-litrates, drop-outs, semi-litrates on part time basis. These programmes are regular feature of the centre. The Professional Vocational Courses are being conducted for educated unemployed youth for income generation, skill development, employability, self sustenance etc and for inservice personnel for updating and upgrading their knowledge and skill. The courses include 6 months Basic Computers, Advanced Courses in Computers, Electrician, Electronic, Plumber/Fitter, Maintanance of Machines, Dress/Fashion Technology, Diet Management, Digital Photography, Primary Teachers Training, Embroidery, Willow Work, Paper Bag Making etc. These courses evoked tremendous response as many of the participants have either obtained Government jobs or established their manufacturing and servicing units for income generation. The duration of these courses range from 15 days to 6 months.
The awareness programmes on various challenging issues like Health/Hygiene, Mother/Child Care, Preventive/Curative Measures, Nutrition, Population Education, Literacy, Education for All, Drug Addiction, Environmental Pollution, Legal Literacy, HIV AIDS, Women empowerment, Stress Management etc have helped the target groups to improve the quality of their lives.the arragements of medical camps in different deserving areas particulary in adopted areas of the centre too have proved beneficial to the people. Free medical check-up by specialists of different medical fields at the door steps of the patients has all along been applauded and appreciated by the community. On the ocassion of these camps, the medicines are distributed free of cost among the ailing people. The duration of awareness programmes and medical camps ranges from one to three days.
